Sony’s handheld console, the PSP, comes with many impressive features, including the ability to download and use software.  But finding good PSP software can be a very difficult task if you don’t know what you need to look for.

Price.  It would be too simple if we could just find every program we ever wanted on the web for free.  It’s tempting to want to use only free PSP software, but free software often comes with other “free” things we do not want, such as spyware and viruses.  Remember that you get what you pay for – free services often do not come with the features and support of those that you pay for.  Free PSP software is often a “what you see is what you get” gamble.  While sometimes you find what you want, more often than not you find things you can’t get rid of fast enough.
